The key responsibilities for this role include diagnosing, servicing, and repairing marine engines such as inboard, outboard, and auxiliary engines. You will also be responsible for maintaining and repairing propulsion systems, gearboxes, shaft alignments, and rudder systems. Performing scheduled preventive maintenance according to OEM standards is an essential part of the job. Additionally, you will need to install and align mechanical equipment and machinery, as well as maintain fuel, cooling, and exhaust systems on vessels. Reading and interpreting technical drawings, manuals, and service bulletins, and maintaining maintenance logs and service records are also key tasks. Ensuring compliance with all safety procedures and maintaining safe working practices at all times is crucial. You will be expected to support dry-docking, sea trials, and onboard repairs as needed, and collaborate with electricians, welders, and marine engineers for integrated maintenance tasks. Responding to emergency mechanical issues during operations or at sea may also be required. This is a full-time position requiring at least 5 years of experience as a Marine Mechanic.
