Role: Head - Internal Security As the Head of Internal Security, your responsibilities will include designing, reviewing, and approving security policies, controls, and cyber incident response planning. You will also be tasked with the design, review, and approval of identity and access policies, disaster recovery, and Business Continuity plans. Ensuring that disaster recovery and business continuity plans are in place and tested will be a crucial aspect of your role. You will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and approving the design of security systems, as well as ensuring that cyber security policies and procedures are communicated to all personnel and that compliance is enforced. Constantly updating the cyber security strategy to leverage new technology and threat information will be essential in this position. Reviewing investigations after breaches or incidents, including impact analysis and recommendations for avoiding similar vulnerabilities, will be part of your duties. Maintaining a current understanding of the IT threat landscape for the organization and ensuring compliance with changing laws and applicable regulations are key aspects of the role. Your role will also involve translating knowledge to the identification of risks and actionable plans to protect the business, scheduling periodic security audits, overseeing identity and access management, providing training and mentoring to team members, and communicating best practices and risks to all parts of the business, outside of IT. You will be required to brief the executive team on status and risks, including taking the role of champion for the overall strategy and necessary budget.
