Role : UAV Operator-External / Internal Pilot Educational Qualification : B.Tech / M.Tech Work Location : Karnataka , India Roles and Responsibilities • To conduct flight operations of prototype small UAVs (both fixed wing and VTOL) • To support military and civilian customer operations and carry out demonstration flights • To contribute in design, development and operational adaptation of new UAVs to meet customer requirements Strategic: • To carry out mission planning for UAV operations, including payload operations • To launch and recover aircraft, conduct UAV flying (both Fixed wing and VTOL) in team with External Pilot • To operate various sensor systems as required by the mission Execution/Implementation: • To understand technical and operational limitations and laydown safety criteria accordingly • To participate in mission / task briefings and post flight debriefs / data analysis • To review airspace requirements and operate systems safely and within the applicable flight regulations; or as specified by the customer requirements • To prepare Test plans, Checkilists and SOPs for conduct of UAV operations • To assist in UAV maintenance, preparation, troubleshooting and lab testing • To carry out proper documentation of UAV maintenance, testing and flight operations People Related: • To coordinate within the flight operations team for planning and execution of flight tests • To assist in spares / components / inventory management of Unmanned Aerial System. • Administrative/ Co-Ordination: • Focus on company goals and align professional growth and skill enhancement accordingly Functional • Understanding of UAV operations • Payloads functionalities, integration • Interest in radio controllled aerial vehicles, at least two years of experience as UAV operator • Ability to perofrm outdoor assignments, in extreme climatic conditions (for short periods) • Ability to lift and carry 20 kg of load unassisted for short distances Technical Know/How • UAV Design and development, subsystems, components • Mission Planning, Documentation • Data handling, data analysis • Adequate computer literacy; should be proficient in MS Office tools Soft Skills/Behavioral Competencies • Willing to travel frequently to field locations • Keen learner, attention to details • Good communication skills; both written and oral Selection Process : 2 levels of interaction Interested candidates are requested to share the updated cv to arunkumarc@tataadvancedsystems.com Also , please mention Internal Pilot / External Pilot in your resume / application HR Team || TATA Advanced Systems Limited
