Intern - BIU - SBI Securities

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and implement data processing pipelines for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) tasks.
• Utilize advanced SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from relational databases.
• Design and implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure accuracy.
• Apply machine learning algorithms for predictive modeling and pattern recognition.
• Collaborate with IT teams to optimize data storage, retrieval, and overall system performance.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of data repositories and data warehousing solutions.
• Work closely with data architects to enhance data infrastructure.

Competencies Required

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and scripting tasks.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and database management systems.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis, data visualization tools, hypothesis testing, and regression analysis.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) for collaborative coding.
• Familiarity with financial concepts and instruments, such as market data and trading.
• Exposure to big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) for large-scale data processing.
• Understanding of distributed computing and parallel processing
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their data services.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Conceptual clarity of containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)

Preferred candidate profile

Graduation (mandatory) : B.Tech /Other advanced post-grad diploma or certifications in any stream with 0-1 years of experience
