Job Overview

Lord Krishna Builders (LKB), established in 2004, is a professionally managed organization with projects across Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, and Guruvayur.

Through Lord Krishna Institute of Technology and Skills, we aim to deliver industry-ready interior design education with strong emphasis on site execution, materials, drawings, software, and client handling.

We invite applications from experienced Interior Designers / Faculty who can teach, mentor, demonstrate practically, and prepare students for real projects, jobs, and freelancing.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Academic

• Deliver sessions on interior design fundamentals, technical drawings, and project execution
• Teach students to prepare plans, sections, elevations, furniture layouts, lighting & electrical layouts, plumbing layouts, flooring, and joinery details
• Train students in industry-standard software:
• AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max / Blender
• V-Ray / Corona, Lumion / Twinmotion
• Photoshop for presentations
• Introduce students to AI-assisted design tools and workflows
• Guide students in BOQ preparation, basic costing, and project estimation
• Conduct demo classes, design reviews, and jury-style evaluations
• Assist students in portfolio development (drawings + renders)

Industry Exposure & Site Knowledge

• Explain interior materials and finishes: plywood, MDF, laminates, veneers, acrylics, modular kitchens, false ceilings, hardware, tiles, marble, granite, glass, mirrors, and aluminum works
• Share site experience: coordinating with carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and vendors
• Teach common site mistakes and quality checkpoints
• Take students on live project site visits for practical exposure
• Support students in client meetings and design presentations

Mentorship & Student Outcomes

• Mentor students for:
• Job placements
• Freelancing or independent practice
• Explain design concepts to beginners with no prior knowledge
• Maintain a balanced approach between theory and practical learning

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s / Master’s in Interior Design or Architecture, or Diploma in Interior Design
• Relevant software certifications preferred (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, Lumion, Photoshop)
• Strong practical interior design execution experience

Experience

• Teaching experience in interior design preferred
• Professional interior design practice including site execution and freelance projects
• Experience handling residential, commercial, retail, hospitality, or turnkey interiors

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in technical drawings, software tools, and design workflows
• Knowledge of materials, finishes, site coordination, and client interactions
• Ability to mentor, guide, and evaluate students
• Strong communication and presentation skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
