Interior 2D Draftsman

As an Interior Designer, your primary role will involve accurately creating interior 2D drawings and estimating costs for interior design projects. This includes evaluating design plans and specifications to determine cost estimates, researching and obtaining quotes for materials and furnishings, as well as assessing labor costs and subcontractor fees to ensure projects remain within budget. You will be responsible for developing detailed cost estimates and budgets for projects, monitoring and updating cost estimates throughout the project lifecycle. Collaboration is key in this role as you will work closely with interior designers to understand design intent and project scope, coordinate with suppliers and contractors to gather accurate pricing information, review bid proposals, and negotiate with vendors when necessary. Documentation plays a crucial part in this position, requiring you to maintain detailed records of cost estimates, quotes, and project changes, as well as preparing and submitting reports on cost estimates and budget status. Key skills and qualifications for this role include proficiency in estimation software and tools, knowledge of interior design materials and finishes, strong communication skills, and attention to detail and accuracy in cost calculations. To be eligible for this position, you should have a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related field, along with at least 1 year of experience in cost estimation within the interior design industry.
