Interior 2D Draftman

As an Interior Designer, your primary role is to accurately create interior 2D drawings and estimate costs for interior design projects, ensuring they remain within budget. Here are the key responsibilities associated with this role: - Cost Analysis: - Evaluate design plans and specifications to determine cost estimates. - Research and obtain quotes for materials, furnishings, and finishes. - Assess labor costs and subcontractor fees. - Budget Preparation: - Develop detailed cost estimates and budgets for projects. - Monitor and update cost estimates throughout the project lifecycle. - Collaboration: - Work closely with interior designers to understand design intent and project scope. - Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to gather accurate pricing information. - Review and analyze bid proposals and negotiate with vendors as needed. - Documentation: - Maintain detailed records of cost estimates, quotes, and project changes. - Prepare and submit reports on cost estimates and budget status. Key Skills and Qualifications required for this role include: - Proficiency in estimation software and tools. - Knowledge of interior design materials and finishes. - Strong communication skills. - Attention to detail and accuracy in cost calculations. To be eligible for this position, you should have a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Construction Management, or a related field, along with at least 1 year of experience in cost estimation within the interior design industry.
