Responsibilities: - Providing quick resolutions to application issues to enhance stability, efficiency, and effectiveness for overall business success. - Overseeing Batch Management, End of version Software's and toolsets Upgrades, Automating Manual Tasks, and Platform Build Project Management. - Maintaining application systems in daily operations, focusing on stability, quality, and functionality against service level expectations. - Conducting start of day checks, continuous monitoring, and regional handover. - Performing same-day risk reconciliations and developing technical support documentation. - Maximizing the potential of applications used by identifying ways to enhance their performance. - Assessing risk and impact of production issues, escalating them to business and technology management promptly. - Ensuring storage and archiving procedures are correctly in place and functional. - Acting as a liaison between users, internal technology groups, and vendors. - Participating in ongoing capacity planning and expansion to meet platform needs. - Being accountable for Environment stability, quality, performance, reliability, and serviceability. - Serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and/or team members. Qualifications: - 7-10 years of experience in an Application Support role. - Proficiency in handling Linux Operating systems and SQL using Oracle and SQL server DB. - Experience in web application support, especially in WebSphere and Weblogic environments. - Exposure to middleware technologies like TIBCO, NDM, MQ, EMS, Kafka, and SFTP. - Familiarity with monitoring tools such as ITRS Geneos, Kibana, AppDynamics, and Splunk. - Experience in scheduling jobs using Autosys and knowledge of Scrum methodologies and JIRA. - Good to have experience with cloud-based technologies like OpenShift, DevOps, MongoDB. - Proficiency in installing, configuring, or supporting business applications. - Ability to learn programming languages as required. - Strong analytical skills, effective communication, and issue tracking abilities. - Knowledge/experience with problem Management Tools and good technical skills. - Ability to collaborate effectively with support team members and other technology teams. - Strong organizational and workload management skills. - Ability to communicate technical issues in simple terms for non-IT staff. - Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
