As a Product Compliance Specialist at Farnell, an Avnet company, your primary responsibility will be to collect, validate, and load product compliance data to ensure that our global service provider and distributor of electronic components meets the environmental and safety legislations worldwide. You will play a crucial role in responding to customer inquiries regarding compliance matters. Your key responsibilities will include collecting data on various compliance regulations such as RoHS, REACH, SCIP, TSCA, PFAS, POPs, California Proposition 65, Conflict Minerals, UL, CE, and others. You will utilize Salesforce to manage and address compliance requests from customers, ensuring data accuracy and maintaining records. Additionally, you will collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to explain compliance requirements and escalate data issues when necessary. In this role, you will review discrepancy reports, develop data rules for automation, stay informed about emerging compliance developments globally, and support both internal and external customers with compliance requests. It will be essential to manage customer BOM requests efficiently, provide status reports, and meet deadlines while maintaining data accuracy objectives. To excel in this position, you should have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, strong English language skills, and a commitment to delivering quality work are essential. You should be adept at building relationships, analyzing data, and working in a diverse environment with changing requirements. Prior experience with electronic components and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field are preferred. The role requires working in Farnell's Bangalore office four days a week and being available for non-standard hours, such as a partial UK/US shift. You will be expected to contribute to process improvements, develop work instructions, and provide training on product compliance topics.
