Job Description

Provide direct care for patients with severe and life-threatening conditions. Conduct thorough assessments, make accurate diagnoses, and create individualized treatment plans. Monitor and manage patients’ physiological functions, including respiratory, cardiovascular, and renal systems. Perform or oversee complex procedures, such as intubation, central line placement, and ventilator management. Work closely with surgeons, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other specialists to develop and implement patient care plans. Lead and participate in multidisciplinary rounds to discuss patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed. Communicate effectively with patients’ families, providing updates on condition, treatment options, and prognosis. Make rapid and informed decisions in high-pressure situations to stabilize and treat critically ill patients. Interpret diagnostic tests and clinical data to guide treatment strategies. Assess and manage potential complications and side effects of treatments. Adhere to best practices and protocols to ensure high standards of care and patient safety. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits to enhance ICU practices and outcomes. Document all patient interactions and interventions accurately and timely. Mentor and train medical students, residents, and fellows in critical care techniques and principles. Stay current with advancements in critical care medicine through continuing education and professional development. Contribute to the development of ICU policies and procedures. Assist in the management of ICU resources and staff scheduling. Job Type: Full-time Schedule: Day shift Experience: total work: 3 years (Required) Work Location: In person
