Key Responsibilities: · Register admitted patients and generate/update PRN and admission number. · Assign bed/ward/room as per availability and doctor’s instruction. · Collect and verify ID proof, admission forms, and insurance documents (if applicable). · Ensure proper documentation of the patient’s consent and initial assessment forms. · Update treatment sheets, nursing notes, doctor progress notes, and consent forms. · Verify and collect insurance card and pre-authorization forms from patient/attendant. · Forward pre-auth request to TPA/insurance with required medical documents. · Coordinate with TPA for approvals, queries, and documentation. · Update the patient and billing team about insurance approvals, limits, and deductions. · Collect and submit final bill, discharge summary, and other documents for claim processing. · Maintain records of insurance communication and approvals. · Coordinate with billing department to post daily charges (room, labs, procedures, etc.). · Inform patients or their families about the billing status and pending dues. · Collect discharge summary from treating doctor. · Handover final file and discharge summary to patient and MRD. · Guide patients and families about room facilities, timings, policies. · Answer non-clinical queries and escalate issues to appropriate departments. · Inform families of procedure timings, visiting hours, and billing queries. · Coordinate with doctors, nurses, billing, lab, radiology, pharmacy, TPA, and MRD. · Inform concerned departments about patient transfer, discharge, or special instructions. · Follow all NABH protocols, SOPs, and infection control guidelines. · Maintain confidentiality and protect patient rights and information. · Support internal audits, quality checks, and staff training programs.
