As a Test Automation Engineer at Stantec, you will be a part of a global team that is committed to sustainable engineering, architecture, and environmental consulting. With a focus on innovation and community advancement, you will play a key role in driving Test Automation practices and solutions across various projects and technologies. Your primary responsibilities will include participating in in-depth analysis of Test Automation practices, designing Automation Architecture Principles, and leading Automation delivery projects. You will develop Automation solutions for applications in On-premises or Cloud environments, providing technical expertise in resolving Automation Engineering, Coding, and Architecture issues. Collaboration will be a key aspect of your role as you interface with various teams including Test Data Management, Tools, Test Environment Management, and QA/Dev teams to address Test Automation related issues. You will also contribute to the selection of Test Automation tools, conduct training sessions, and ensure alignment with industry best practices in QA processes and methodologies. In addition to managing risks and deliverables, you will work closely with project managers and development teams to report testing issues, provide support to QA and customer test teams, and prepare customer demo presentations when necessary. Your expertise in Automation Framework types, Cloud services, SDLC Tools, and programming languages will be essential in creating sustainable automation solutions. The ideal candidate for this role will have 9+ years of experience in Software QA, including hands-on experience in Test Automation across various technologies. A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is required, along with proficiency in Agile testing methodologies and people management skills.
