Job Description

When our values align, there's no limit to what we can achieve.
At Parexel, we all share the same goal - to improve the world's health. From clinical trials to regulatory, consulting, and market access, every clinical development solution we provide is underpinned by something special - a deep conviction in what we do.

Each of us, no matter what we do at Parexel, contributes to the development of a therapy that ultimately will benefit a patient. We take our work personally, we do it with empathy and we're committed to making a difference.

Key Responsibilities:

MuleSoft Development (Primary Focus):

  • Design and implement API-led connectivity solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform to integrate internal and external clinical systems.

  • Develop and maintain scalable, reusable APIs and integration flows supporting clinical trial data exchange (EDC, CTMS, eTMF, IRT, and sponsor-facing platforms).

  • Ensure MuleSoft integrations meet compliance standards such as HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11, and GxP.

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize MuleSoft integration performance and reliability.

  • Stay current with MuleSoft platform updates, integration best practices, and clinical research technology trends.

Automation & Orchestration Support:

  • Configure and maintain workflows using Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, and UiPath to automate business processes and system interactions.

  • Integrate automation solutions with MuleSoft APIs and other enterprise systems to improve operational efficiency.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and translate them into technical workflows.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot automation jobs to ensure reliability and compliance.

General Integration Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with software engineers, data managers, clinical operations, and IT stakeholders to gather integration requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.

  • Maintain documentation for integration designs, configurations, and operational procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in integration engineering, with at least 2 years of hands-on MuleSoft development.

  • Experience with Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, and UiPath for workflow automation.

  • Strong understanding of API design principles (REST, SOAP), data formats (JSON, XML), and integration patterns.

  • Familiarity with clinical systems (EDC, CTMS, eTMF, IRT) and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11).

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
