As a Project Engineer specializing in Instrumentation at Edwards India Private Ltd in PUNE, India, your primary responsibility will be to design and develop electrical and instrumentation systems for Vacuum Pumps & Compressor Skids. You will work closely with clients to understand their specifications, prepare technical query lists, and ensure timely resolution of any queries in coordination with both the client and internal teams. Your role will involve selecting the most suitable gauges, transmitters, motors, junction boxes, control panels, cabling, cable trays, conduits, and glands for the vacuum skids based on client requirements. Furthermore, you will provide technical support for the procurement of all necessary items from various domestic and global suppliers. Collaborating with Project & Design Engineers, you will assist in creating within skid Instrument & Cabling layouts and preparing essential documents such as Instrument Hook up drawings, I/O List, Instrument Index, Cause & Effect Charts, Junction Box & Wiring diagrams, Cable Schedule, and Logic Diagrams. It will also be your responsibility to address client feedback on E&I related documents and obtain their approval. Your expertise will be instrumental in conducting technical assessments, recommending improvements to electrical and instrumentation systems, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the vacuum industry. Additionally, you will work towards standardizing E&I equipment to enhance efficiency and project execution speed for repeated customers and consultants. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Instrumentation Engineering from an accredited institution and possess 5-10 years of experience in the E&I stream, preferably within the Oil & Gas Industries. Proficiency in Auto-CAD is a must, and familiarity with E-Plan software would be advantageous. Moreover, having knowledge of international E&I standards, hazardous certifications, and various instruments and control systems is essential for success in this position.
