The R&D Engineer in our team will be responsible for developing laser-based spectroscopic technologies to detect hazardous materials. You will be involved in designing and testing innovative optical systems that utilize laser spectroscopy and related techniques for the identification of hazardous materials. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in Physics, optical engineering, or spectroscopy, along with basic skills in software and instrumentation development. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and prototyping laser-based spectroscopic systems for detecting hazardous materials and threats, ensuring performance, accuracy, and reliability. Additionally, you will lead testing and calibration activities to meet performance standards, enhance precision, and improve the detection of hazardous threats. You will also develop prototypes of laser-based spectroscopic systems for field trials and customer evaluations. Furthermore, you will prepare detailed technical documentation, including design reports, experimental results, and project progress, to ensure all research and testing activities are well-documented. You will also participate in evaluating customer feedback and adapting system designs for improved real-world application and system robustness. It will be your responsibility to ensure that all systems meet necessary regulatory standards for safety, performance, and accuracy. Qualifications: - Masters degree or higher in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field Experience: - Hands-on experience with laser-based spectroscopy (Desirable) - Experience in designing and testing complex systems and prototypes, particularly in a laboratory or field testing environment - Knowledge of Low-level signal measurement using Pre-amplifiers, lock-in amplifiers, and optical systems Skills And Knowledge: - Strong understanding of optical systems, laser-based spectroscopic techniques, and their application - Proficiency in optical system design, including optical components, detectors, lasers, and spectrometers - In-depth knowledge of optical system design, instrumentation & their functions, system integration, research on new innovative ideas, and implementation - Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills - Familiarity with regulatory standards for safety and performance in detection systems - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders About Company: Beam Infotech is a leading global distributor of electronic components, supply chain management, and consulting firm that embraces a well-developed framework and technology to guide different projects.
