Key Responsibilities Study and interpret electrical drawings, cable schedules, routing layouts, and interconnection diagrams . Supervise routing, laying, dressing, tagging, and termination of HT/LT power, control, and instrumentation cables . Verify and ensure correct cable specifications, segregation, and mechanical protection as per design standards. Oversee installation and commissioning of motors, drives, panels, switchgear, earthing systems, and lighting . Conduct and validate cable testing including continuity, insulation resistance, and megger tests . Perform pre-commissioning checks and functional testing of control panels and protection devices. Plan and execute cold and hot commissioning , including system integration, trial runs, and performance testing. Objective Lead the Cable Design department to develop and optimize wire and cable products aligned with market needs and industry standards. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the Cable Design department, ensuring alignment with business goals. Oversee the design and development of LT, HT, EHV, and instrumentation cables. Approve GTPs, CSDs, and technical documentation for tenders and client requirements. Ensure compliance with Indian and international standards (IS, IEC, BS, ASTM). Provide technical support to Marketing, Sales, Production, and Quality teams. Collaborate with ERP/SAP teams for design data integration and code generation. Drive innovation in cable design materials and cost optimization. Monitor industry trends and best practices to enhance design strategies. Develop departmental budgets (CAPEX/OPEX). Support ISO documentation audits for compliance in design activities. Mentor team members to build technical leadership capabilities. As an Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation professional with a Bachelor's Degree or higher, you should have a minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in BMS/automation systems/IoT-based systems. Your expertise should include conducting detailed site surveys, preparing IO Summaries, BOQ, and scope estimation for BMS/Automation projects. Candidates with additional experience in installation, testing, and commissioning of BMS will be preferred. You should have a strong understanding of communication protocols such as RS485 (Modbus), BACnet, SNMP, LAN, Ethernet, and the ability to integrate hardware devices over these protocols. Proficiency in computer skills including Web Search, Email, Word, Excel, and Power Point is required. Effective communication in English and the ability to make presentations to various audiences is a must. As part of your responsibilities, you will be required to identify the scope of IoT-BMS projects, prepare proposals with IO Summaries and BOQ, and explore innovative ways to save energy.
