Job Description

As an Instrumentation and Electrical Facility Engineer at Chevron, you will be a key member of the ENGINE Facilities Designs Engineering team, providing support for instrumentation, controls, and electrical designs for Chevron's Refining and LNG assets. Your role will involve troubleshooting, analysis, and development of I&E engineering solutions for Chevrons complex process facilities. The I&E Designs Engineering team offers remote technical support for operations, turnaround scope development, and projects. Key Responsibilities: - Provide instrumentation, controls, and electrical engineering support for process units within Chevrons complex process facilities, collaborating with Operations, Maintenance, and Technical functions. - Support the management of change process for instrumentation, controls, and electrical design packages and associated changes. - Utilize Chevron and Industry Engineering Standards and Safety in Designs. - Assist in the design, troubleshooting, analysis, and installation of various systems and equipment including distributed control systems, safety instrumented systems, analyzers, electrical power distribution systems, and more. - Offer active remote support to scope instrumentation and electrical repairs, troubleshoot issues in process plants, and support implementation of solutions through Routine Maintenance, Turnaround execution, and projects. - Provide guidance for technical inquiries, issue technical recommendations, improve I&E Engineering tools, and support the development and improvement of I&E Engineering work processes. - Conduct engineering analysis, consultation, and project management for small I&E capital projects, leveraging expertise in design codes, safety systems, process control, and more. Required Qualifications: - Minimum 3 years of site-based facility experience in a brownfield environment. - Minimum 3 years of experience as an I&E Engineer directly supporting operations at a complex refinery, LNG facility, or similar petrochemical environment. - Bachelor's degree in instrumentation or electrical engineering (B.E./B.Tech.) from a recognized university. About the Company: Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, aligning work hours to support business requirements. The standard work week is Monday to Friday with working hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or 1:30 pm to 10:30 pm. Chevron participates in E-Verify in certain locations as required by law.,
