As an I & C Design Engineer based in Chennai, your primary responsibility will be field instrument design. You will be expected to have experience in preparing and reviewing various design deliverables including Design Basis, Instrument Index and I/O List, Instrument Datasheets, Instrument & Control system Specifications, Panel component selection & layout, Installation drawings and Hookups, Instrument Location Layouts, Cable Tray layouts, Control room layouts, Cable and Junction Box Schedule, Wiring and Interconnection drawings, Loop Wiring Diagram, MTO, Tender, and more. In addition to the above, you will be involved in Inter-Disciplinary Activities such as P&ID review, 3-D Model review, IDR/IDC. It is crucial that you have hands-on experience in performing design calculations like Instrument Sizing, Control Valve Sizing (InstruCalc, CONVAL), Flow meter sizing, Air and power consumption calculations, and Thermowell Wake freq. calculations. Your role will require attention to detail, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams to ensure the successful completion of projects.,
