Technical Lead (Next.js, Performance & Security) TECH-002 Role Description The Technical Lead spearheads the architecture and delivery of our Next.js-based publishing platform across a network of over 200+ domains. This role demands at least 5 years of experience with React and Next.js, and a proven track record optimizing Core Web Vitals at scale. You will design and enforce performance budgets for LCP, INP, and CLS while integrating internationalization (i18n) and security best practices. Your duties include setting up edge rendering, CDN strategies, and CI/CD pipelines that support server-side rendering (SSR) and incremental static regeneration (ISR). While leading developers, you must maintain the security posture of the platformmanaging headers, certificate lifecycles, and WAF ruleswithout revealing specifics of our infrastructure. They are proficient in optimizing the critical rendering path, handling caching strategies, and securing applications without sacrificing developer experience. They work well under pressure, remain calm during incidents, and continuously coach teammates. Attention to detail and an affinity for data-driven optimization are essential characteristics. Selection Criteria We seek evidence of leading large-scale React/Next.js projects with measurable improvements to Core Web Vitals and security. Candidates should demonstrate familiarity with modern CI/CD pipelines and internationalization frameworks, and articulate trade-offs between SSR, CSR, and ISR. A strong history of cross-functional collaboration and mentoring less-experienced developers will be considered a major plus.
