Internship Summary We're looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Management Intern to join the IMPunjab team for a duration of 6 months. You will play a crucial role in supporting our programs aimed at nurturing Punjab's entrepreneurial talent, streamlining operations, and contributing directly to the growth of innovative ventures across the state. You will directly report to a Program Manager. Key Responsibilities Project Coordination & Support: Assist Project Managers in planning, organising, and executing various programs (e.g., accelerator cohorts, hackathons, pitch events, mentorship programs). Help create and maintain comprehensive project documentation , including work plans, schedules, risk registers, stakeholder lists, and progress reports for internal tracking. Coordinate logistics for workshops, meetings, and events involving startups, mentors, investors, and government officials. Follow up on action items and decisions from meetings, ensuring timely completion by relevant teams. Startup Engagement & Data Management: Support the onboarding and tracking of startups participating in IMPunjab programs. Assist in collecting, organising, and analysing data related to startup progress, program impact, and ecosystem metrics. Maintain and update databases of startups, mentors, investors, and incubation centres. Help prepare data-driven reports and presentations on program performance and startup success stories. Communication & Outreach: Assist in drafting communications for internal teams and external stakeholders, including newsletters, program announcements, and outreach materials. Support the team in engaging with startups, incubators, academic institutions, and other ecosystem partners. Contribute to social media content creation or website updates related to program activities. Administrative & Ad-hoc Support: Provide general administrative support to the project team as needed. Assist with any other ad-hoc tasks crucial for the smooth functioning of IMPunjab's programs. Qualifications Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in any field from a recognised university. Recent graduates (within 6 months) with a strong interest in the startup ecosystem are also encouraged to apply. Strong academic record. Required Skills and Competencies Exceptional Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, especially in a dynamic environment. Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication in English. Working knowledge of Punjabi (reading/writing/speaking) is highly desirable and preferred for effective local engagement. Proactive & Self-Motivated: Eager to learn, take initiative, and work independently with guidance, demonstrating a "can-do" attitude. Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse internal teams and external partners (startups, government, academia). Analytical Aptitude: Basic analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and interpret data to inform decisions. Digital Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello) or CRM systems is a plus. Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accelerator Head at Innovation Mission Punjab located in Mohali, Punjab, India. The incumbent will be responsible for management, operations and execution of all startup engagement activities from the pre-program stage, through the program, and the post-program stage by monitoring, controlling and reporting progress and As the main point of contact for program operations, s/he will play a key role in contributing to the success of all participating startups. The Roles and Responsibilities Include : The Accelerator Head will be responsible for leading the acceleration programs. This would be inclusive of the following: Accelerator Strategy: Overall planning the activities, resources and programs of the Accelerator. Develop the business plan for the Accelerator to make it financially sustainable in the long run. Fundraise: Explore all the avenues of funding the accelerator programs like govt schemes, corporate partnerships, etc. Events and workshops: Execute various workshops/events to support cohort companies as part of the program. Partnerships: Forge partnerships with various ecosystem players including incubators, accelerators, investors, corporates, academic institutions, sponsors and others for collaboration. Funding: Support the portfolio management team in providing offline support to the cohort companies. Investor outreach and connection for the cohort companies. Eligibility for the Role: A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university. A Master's Degree in Business Administration/Engineering or other relevant fields is desirable. Overall work experience of 12-15 years including 8-10 years relevant experience in a business incubator/accelerator, a start-up advisory or any kind of entrepreneurial experience would be preferred. Good understanding of emerging trends and technologies. Ability to work well with a team and lead a lean team. Full professional proficiency in English. An ability to think creatively to solve problems and to work without being closely managed. Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented. Ability to speak confidently in settings ranging from large group events to meetings with senior government, industry, and startup leaders. Enough technical know-how to understand and work with everything from tomorrow’s cybersecurity tools to artificial intelligence innovators to small-sat companies to brick-mortar businesses without skipping a beat.
