As a Product Development Specialist based in Silao, Len, Mexico, with 2 years of experience and intermediate to advanced English skills, your main objective is to implement sustainable development of new ingredients and formulations at the Silao plant. Your responsibilities include working closely with suppliers, developing material specifications, optimizing formulas for efficient production at competitive costs, ensuring required quality standards, and meeting product standards for the Mexican, Central American, and Caribbean markets. In a typical day, you will excel in managing and executing R&D and Technical projects in alignment with set briefs and market methodology. Collaborating with procurement, quality, and ingredient coordination teams, you will approve new ingredients and suppliers to support ongoing operations and new product launches. Your role also involves conducting supplier audits, coordinating ingredient tests, and providing technical training to operational staff on formulation and ingredient usage. You will be responsible for the formulation process, overseeing tools such as FORMAT and CPS, and preparing raw material summaries and budget formulas. Additionally, you will work with the regulatory team to review ingredient lists, ensuring compliance with ingredient glossaries and regional launch strategies. Your support will be crucial in troubleshooting operational issues and driving improvement projects. To succeed in this role, you should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Manufacturing Processes, Ingredients, Audits, and Formulation, particularly in Dry Pet Food production. Knowledge of improvement methodologies, project management, and supplier audits is essential. A degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Science, Industrial Engineering, Biochemistry, Agronomy, or related fields is preferred. Proficiency in tools like Minitab, Microsoft Project Professional, SAP, and Microsoft Office, along with intermediate to advanced English proficiency, will be beneficial for your success in this role.,
