We are seeking a skilled and experienced Azure Migration Engineer to play a pivotal role in our cloud transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing the migration of our infrastructure and databases to the Microsoft Azure platform. Experience with Azure Landing Zone architecture is highly desirable. You will leverage your deep technical expertise to ensure seamless, efficient, and secure migrations, contributing directly to our technological advancement and scalability. Responsibilities: Design and implement Azure Landing Zone solutions (desirable). Plan and execute infrastructure migration deployments to Azure. Develop and implement database migration strategies, including re-platforming and rehosting. Perform migrations to Azure SQL Database. Execute migrations to Azure Open-Source Databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and Azure Cosmos DB. Troubleshoot and resolve issues during the migration process. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure, database, and application teams. Document migration plans, procedures, and configurations. Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure services and migration methodologies. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BE). Experience: 5-8 years of relevant experience in cloud migration projects, with a significant focus on Microsoft Azure. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of Azure infrastructure services (e.g., Virtual Machines, Networking, Storage). Proven experience with database migration tools and techniques. Hands-on experience migrating to Azure SQL Database. Experience migrating to Azure Open-Source Databases and/or Azure Cosmos DB is essential. Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI) is a plus. Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like ARM templates or Terraform is beneficial. Certifications: While not mandatory, relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Database Administrator Associate) will be considered an added advantage. Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.

Duration: 8Months Job Type: Contract The top 3 responsibilities: Execute infrastructure migration projects from CloudFormation to AWS CDK Perform cross-region service migrations within AWS Implement platform upgrades (e.g., JDK migrations) Apply security standards and compliance requirements to existing systems Follow detailed technical documentation to complete mandated changes Document progress, challenges, and solutions during implementation Collaborate with internal teams to minimize disruption during transitions Automate repetitive infrastructure tasks and migrations where possible Monitor and troubleshoot issues during and after implementation Leadership Principles: Bias for Action, Deliver Results Mandatory Requirements: Basic software development experience (entry-level SDE skills) Familiarity with AWS services and cloud infrastructure concepts Understanding of infrastructure-as-code principles Experience with at least one programming language (Java preferred) Ability to follow technical documentation and implementation guidelines Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Experience with Linux/Unix environments and command-line tools Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation Preferred skills: Experience with AWS CDK or similar IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) Previous work on infrastructure migration projects Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) Familiarity with monitoring tools and log analysis Experience with shell scripting (Bash, PowerShell) Understanding of networking concepts and secure application deployment Education or Certification: Graduation
