As a Middleware Engineer in our ECS-1 department located in Trivandrum, Kerala, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing highly complex middleware solutions to meet customer deliveries. With a qualification of B.E/M.E in Power Electronics/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and 2-7 years of relevant experience, you will have the opportunity to showcase your expertise in C++ programming language with a strong focus on middleware development. Your role will involve working on the design and development of Android-based IVI/Cockpit solutions, including Frameworks/AOSP/HAL, as well as C++ based Infotainment middleware components such as Multimedia, Projection, Bluetooth, Tuner, and System Infrastructure on the android Platform. Understanding Android Boot Sequence, various Framework module architecture, and experience with Android HIDL interfaces and HAL/VHAL implementation will be key aspects of your responsibilities. In addition, you will utilize your knowledge of cross-compilation and toolchains for Android, QNX, Linux build systems, build systems like Cmake, gradle, Soong, and expertise in domains like startup/shutdown, fast boot, audio, multimedia, and HMI. Automotive experience in Inter and intra-ECU IPC communications, familiarity with communication protocols (e.g.: IPCL), and messaging frameworks will also play a crucial role in your day-to-day tasks. Moreover, your proficiency in Object-Oriented Concepts and design patterns in C++, coding guidelines/standards (e.g. MISRA C/C++), Android/Linux/QNX development toolchain, debugging tools like adb, and strong knowledge of Git version control system will further enhance the quality of your work. To understand feature list, variant or Personas matrix understanding, impact on ECUs, Change part list preparation and understanding vehicle aggregates modules creation for System and Sub System like(infotainment system, ADAS System, Cluster, Engine management System) Support generating vehicle electrical integration requirements. BOM and Spec Freeze as p er feature list. BOM matrix for all trim levels based on latest versions of feature list for EE aggregates. Conduct & lead DMU r eview, feedback, suggestion for issue resolution & co-ordination with Designers. Feasibility check of packaging E&E aggregate with in styling theme. Participation in packaging/styling review meetings. Space claim models for New or Carryover modified parts. Design of plastic metal/plastic brackets as per component packaging. To ensure 3D/2D drawing correctness and release in PLM withi n stipulated time. Preparation of Complexity matrix as per VC. DMU review for closure of all DMU, VLO, SE, Mfg issues. Ensure & Track for software strategy defined & agreed with software COC. ECU software releases in PLM Teamcenter. E&E support in prepar ation of Service and Owner s manual. Proto build co-ordination & issue resolution support. Participation in design review / sugg estions for issue resolution. TCUA, DML, Engineering change management process aware Design Validation plan (DVP)/ CTR- sign-off with CFT, supplier & IDT. Vehicle Build (Alpha, BETA, PO, PP, SOP) Internal Stake-holder Coordination. MINT3, BITS, VLO, CIB, QIB Issue Closure in Mint 3 Champion. Engineering Sign-off with CFT. Exposure of milestones/ stages in vehicle/product development cycle, time plan, interrelatio n of various activities. Expertise in software like TCUA & Catia v5.(Part Design, Sheet metal design, Surface design, Assembly mod ules) Good knowledge ECU, software, EOL diagnostic Protocol Knowledge of international process standards like TS, AIS, and ECE w ill be added advantage.
