To be successful in this role, you should have experience in Financial Reporting, Control, Group reporting, and Analytics. Possess a strong knowledge and understanding of key accounting principles under IFRS and IB products. You should be a highly motivated self-starter with strong planning and organizational skills. Proficiency in Excel and presentation skills is essential for analyzing and producing different sets of MI/decks on financials/disclosures. This would require knowledge of PowerPoint and an analytical mindset. Additionally, you should have strong control awareness, analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent verbal and written communication abilities as the role demands frequent interaction with senior management. Being a Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) is a requirement. Other highly valued skills may include a confident and assertive manner, ability to develop relationships and manage stakeholders" expectations professionally. You should display integrity, initiative, commitment, and credibility through interactions with colleagues and clients. An eye for detail, an exceptional track record in managing and resolving conflict situations, and the ability to work well in a team while maintaining good relations with team members are also important qualities. Purpose of the role: To manage the financial operations of the organization, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of financial reporting. Accountabilities: - Management of the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements and other accounting records according to relevant accounting standards, rules, and regulations. - Support in the identification, assessment, and mitigation of financial risks and reporting on these risks to senior colleagues. - Development and maintenance of a robust system of internal controls to safeguard assets, prevent fraudulent misreporting, and ensure the accuracy of financial data. - Development and implementation of up-to-date financial policies and procedures to ensure consistent and effective financial practices across the organization. - Management of the selection, implementation, and maintenance of financial systems and software applications, including collaboration with IT colleagues for integration. - Preparation and submission of statutory and regulatory reports to authorities, and providing support to other departments in their preparation and review of regulatory reports. - Coordination with external auditors and regulatory authorities in support of audits and examinations.
