Job Description

As a Product Specialist in Informatics at Waters, you play a crucial role in representing the company and introducing Waters" products and services to the market. Your main objective is to understand the customers" businesses and growth plans comprehensively and translate this understanding into solutions and offerings from Waters to ensure customer success. This position offers you the flexibility of working in the field, focusing on a specific territory and/or markets. Your responsibilities include addressing both new and existing customers across various markets, maintaining and expanding relationships with current customers, and identifying and cultivating new accounts. Regular visits to customers within your assigned territory, organizing seminars and workshops at customer sites, and providing high-quality technical advice to customers while maximizing sales potential are also part of your duties. Collaboration and support across departments at Waters, such as Instrument Sales, Chemistry Operation, and Service departments, are essential for ensuring customer success. Additionally, formulating and executing business plans, planning and prioritizing sales activities, and adhering to relevant health, safety, and environmental requirements are crucial aspects of your role. Utilizing systems like Sales Force and Quotation systems with a focus on improvements and upgrades is another key responsibility. To qualify for this role, you should hold a University Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or equivalent field and possess 4-10 years of experience in IT solutions, sales, or service. Knowledge of Chromatography, Pharmaceutical Lab Compliance, and their applications are preferred qualifications. Technical and practical solution selling experience, especially in high-end technology products, would be advantageous. As a Product Specialist, you are expected to be highly passionate, charismatic, determined, and able to work effectively in competitive sales environments. Customer-focused with strong listening skills, you should also excel at understanding and communicating technical and commercial values. Good interpersonal skills, a positive sense of humor, and the ability to contribute effectively within a sales/service organization are essential. Proficiency in English and a regional language is required.
