Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Network Engineer
to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience in advanced routing and switching, as well as a strong background in managing and optimizing enterprise network environments. This is a long-term contract opportunity for professionals passionate about network infrastructure and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructures, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot advanced routing and switching protocols, with a focus on BGP Anycast.
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain firewalls, ensuring robust network security across all layers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and resolve network-related issues.
- Perform network upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning to support business growth.
- Document network architecture, configurations, and procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers as needed.
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Advanced expertise in routing and switching, including deep knowledge of BGP.
- Extensive experience with firewalls, including configuration, deployment, and management.
- Proven proficiency with the following technologies:
- Cisco (routers and switches)
- Fortinet (firewalls)
- Palo Alto (firewalls)
- VeloCloud (SD-WAN)
- Juniper Mist (wireless)
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex network issues efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
- CCNP, Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSE, or other advanced network/security certifications.
