As an AI Software Engineer, you will work with a talented team of engineers, researchers, design and Product teams, to design and implement key components on developing and implementing AI-powered products and workflows into Postman's product. Utilize your expertise to develop new agent architectures, design and manage data pipelines, run evaluations, and propose solutions to enhance output quality. Embrace uncertainty with confidence by prioritizing meaningful machine-learning experiments that enhance our products. Take the initiative to lead projects collaboratively, ensuring they flourish from inception to completion. Design, monitor, and analyze experimental results efficiently. Document findings thoroughly, conduct ablation studies, and effectively transform data into actionable insights. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver product features on time across Postman's product stack. Ship with high intent and work with the team to improve your ability to iterate and ship AI-powered features over time. You might be a good fit if you have 6+ years of experience in AI/ML research and development, a Masters or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field. Have expertise in improving our models and building evaluations for model capability improvement. Hands-on experience with LLMs, Transformer models, and generative AI techniques. Working experience in retrieval systems, inference engines. The ability to design and run ML research experiments, engineer prototypes, and build infrastructure and tooling for processing data. Strong programming skills in Python and knowledge of ML libraries like Scikit-learn, LLM Model API, or LLM frameworks. A "validate first and perfect later" mentality and curiosity about how things work inside the hood. Self-driven, self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team. Published work at top conferences such as ICLR, ICML, NeurIPS, ACL, and EMNLP would be a nice to have, as well as open-source projects. At Postman, we embrace a hybrid work model. As an AI Developer/Lead, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of AI-powered solutions to enhance nonprofit operational efficiency. Your role will involve technical leadership and hands-on development, driving aggressive 6-week implementation cycles and a multi-modal development approach. Your key responsibilities will include: - Leading technical design and architecture decisions for AI applications across all classification categories - Overseeing PoC development, bug fixes, iteration, and production builds - Implementing and maintaining open-source AI foundations such as Llama, Haystack, and LlamaGuard - Designing and managing synthetic data pipelines for training and analytics - Ensuring deployment and go-live support for all AI applications In terms of development strategy execution, you will: - Drive accelerated creation using AI-powered development tools like Replit, Windsurf, and Cursor for rapid prototyping - Manage the complete development lifecycle from initial AI-assisted development to production deployment - Collaborate with a global contributor network through GitHub - Integrate OSINT information into research and analytics workflows Your application development focus areas will include: - Basic automation for meeting reports, eCourts monitoring, and administrative workflows - Developing custom data management platforms to replace Excel-based systems - Building specialized LLM chatbots with domain knowledge across multiple functions - Implementing multi-modal tracking solutions for image, video, audio, and location data - Using ML/NLP tools for hotspot prediction, translation services, and investigative tools - Developing compliance applications with automated DPDP and regulatory adherence - Integrating cybersecurity with secure communication frameworks Required qualifications for this role include: - 5+ years of experience in AI/ML development and deployment - Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, React, and modern AI frameworks - Experience with LLM integration, fine-tuning, and safety models - Hands-on experience with inference engines and API integration - Strong background in server deployment and infrastructure management - Experience with AI-assisted development tools, open-source development, and GitHub collaboration - Proven ability to deliver production applications in aggressive timelines - Experience working with distributed international teams across multiple time zones Preferred qualifications include experience with multi-modal AI applications, knowledge of cloud-based inference services and self-hosted model deployment, and DevOps experience with server management and deployment automation.,
