Build training/validation data: Manage the processes used to generate, groom and validate high quality, efficient utterances for new intent classes and improvements to existing ones; provide feedback to team members working on these efforts. Apply ML and other methods for intent modelling: Own methods used to design and optimize models; and advise on how to make measurable improvements. Develop command of the platform’s ML and related applications. Tests technologies and communicates actively with product team to drive enhancements. Benchmark intent model: Create and maintain validation datasets and track model statistics over time to prove performance gains and create improvement strategies. Stay updated with the product: Stay current on advances within the platform, disseminate intent education to team members and stakeholders. We would love to hear from you if: You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Linguistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. You have proven experience (2+ years) in designing, implementing, and scaling conversational AI solutions, including chatbots and virtual assistants. You have advanced knowledge of the English language, an ability to troubleshoot language-based data; or an applied linguistics background You have strong attention to detail along with a strategic perspective of the big picture You have experience with or aptitude to learn about chat-based artificial intelligence systems and how intent recognition fits into these systems You have comfort with statistics and interpreting statistical data to draw conclusions You have general understanding of natural language processing and machine learning core concepts (accuracy, precision, recall, overfitting, underfitting) You have basic understanding of LLMs and prompt engineering You have experience applying supervised machine learning techniques to real world problems You have appreciation for user experience design implications of designing an intent model (user mental models) You have some experience in software delivery/implementation is an advantage This role is available in Bengaluru and will be hired into Amelia Global Services, a subsidiary of SoundHound AI.
