As a Millwright Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to learn and work alongside experienced Millwrights in repairing and maintaining mechanical equipment and machinery in industrial and construction settings. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting senior Millwrights with repairs, installations, and maintenance tasks, while adhering to safe work practices in accordance with industry standards and regulations. You will be expected to develop a strong understanding of mechanical systems and machinery, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems, and learn how to interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals. Additionally, you will assist in the assembly and disassembly of machinery and equipment, utilize a variety of hand and power tools for repairs and maintenance, and ensure that work areas are kept clean, organized, and safe. As a valuable member of the Blackstone team, you will be required to communicate effectively, follow instructions diligently, and demonstrate a strong work ethic. Flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends, as well as willingness to work overtime when necessary, are essential qualities for this role. You will also need to possess physical stamina, the ability to lift heavy objects, and hold a valid driver's license with reliable transportation. Successful candidates for this position should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, with preference given to those who have completed a Millwright pre-apprentice program. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality work are highly desirable traits. Experience working with hand tools and equipment, as well as certifications in safety courses such as H2S, Fall Arrest, Confined Space, and CSO, are advantageous but not mandatory.
