Key Responsibilities

• Product Design & Development

  : Design PET bottles, caps, and closures in multiple variants (250ml, 500ml, 1L, etc.) using

  SolidWorks

  and other CAD tools.

• Engineering Precision

  : Create accurate 2D/3D models, technical drawings, and manufacturing-ready specifications.

• Simulation & Testing

  : Run simulations for

  stress, load, drop test, and material behavior

  to validate bottle designs.

• Prototype Development

  : Work closely with vendors and mold manufacturers to develop prototypes and production molds.

• Branding Integration

  : Incorporate

  ergonomics, aesthetics, and brand identity

  into the bottle and cap design.

• Sustainability

  : Explore lightweighting, recyclable materials, and eco-friendly design practices for PET packaging.

• Cross-functional Collaboration

  : Work with operations, manufacturing, and marketing teams to ensure designs are functional, scalable, and aligned with brand strategy.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong proficiency in

  SolidWorks

  (mandatory).
• Experience in

  plastic product design

  , preferably PET bottles and caps.
• Understanding of

  blow molding and injection molding processes

  .
• Ability to run

  finite element analysis (FEA)

  and simulate stress/strain performance.
• Strong grasp of

  engineering design principles, tolerances, and manufacturing constraints

  .
• Experience in

  packaging industry, consumer goods, or FMCG

  is highly preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to balance

  aesthetic, functional, and cost considerations

  .

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in

  Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Product Design, or Packaging Technology

  .
• Certifications in CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, Creo, etc.) are a plus.
