As a Biomedical & Industrial Manufacturing Intern at Raja Industries in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, India, you will have the opportunity to work at the intersection of biomedical materials, pharmaceutical packaging, and industrial fabrication. Raja Industries, an engineering and advanced manufacturing company, specializes in precision fabrication, structural engineering, and industrial solutions. With a legacy spanning various sectors including thermal power plant infrastructure, aerospace structures, and medical-grade manufacturing, the company is now expanding into biomedical and pharmaceutical engineering. Your role will involve gaining hands-on experience in medical-grade material selection, precision manufacturing, and regulatory compliance within an industrial setting. You will be responsible for studying biocompatible metals and polymers used in pharmaceutical and medical applications, assisting in fabrication processes relevant to medical-grade components, optimizing manufacturing processes for pharmaceutical and biomedical device components, supporting inspection and validation of materials used in medical and industrial applications, and working with mechanical and industrial engineers to develop bioengineering solutions for high-precision manufacturing. Additionally, you will apply your knowledge of sterile manufacturing to improve structural integrity and production processes for medical packaging and vials. The ideal candidate for this internship will have a background in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, or related fields, along with experience in pharmaceutical packaging, medical-grade material processing, or industrial bioengineering. Familiarity with ISO 13485, FDA standards, or similar regulations for medical and pharmaceutical manufacturing is preferred. Basic knowledge of CAD design, thermal analysis, and mechanical stress testing is a plus, as well as strong analytical skills with an interest in advanced manufacturing and biomedical materials. Through this internship, you will gain exposure to precision manufacturing for biomedical and pharmaceutical applications, hands-on experience in medical-grade fabrication, pharmaceutical packaging, and industrial bioengineering, networking opportunities in India's evolving biomedical and industrial engineering sectors, experience working in a cross-disciplinary environment, international exposure to industry best practices and global market trends in biomedical and industrial manufacturing, and a global perspective on biomedical and industrial engineering beneficial for future roles in biotech, pharma, and medical device production.
