We're looking for a passionate and hands-on Head of Embedded Design & Development to lead our hardware and firmware teams. Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Embedded Design and Development to lead our embedded hardware and firmware teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in advanced embedded systems, with hands-on expertise in designing, developing, and testing embedded products. This leadership role requires both technical depth and the ability to mentor and grow a high-performing team of embedded engineers and designers. Key Responsibilities: Lead the end-to-end design and development of embedded hardware and firmware products. Guide and mentor a team of embedded system engineers and designers through the full product development lifecycle. Remain actively hands-on with design, development, and implementation of embedded systems. Drive technical excellence and innovation in embedded product architecture, design, and testing. Ensure timely delivery of projects while maintaining high-quality standards. Develop and review hardware schematics, layouts, and firmware architecture. Work on OS and non-OS-based embedded systems involving a variety of interfaces. Oversee development involving Serial-to-Ethernet communication, high-resolution TFT displays, touch screens, NVRAM, and other peripherals. Ensure product compliance with relevant environmental and type testing standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, software, manufacturing) to bring products to market. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electronics/Electrical/Embedded Systems or related field. 10+ years of proven experience in embedded system design and development (hardware and firmware). Strong hands-on experience with microcontrollers, SoCs, and embedded platforms. Expertise in communication protocols including UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, Modbus, etc. Experience in product development using TFT displays, touchscreens, NVRAM, and other advanced peripherals. Deep understanding of OS and non-OS based system design and development. Knowledge of environmental and compliance testing procedures (type testing, EMI/EMC, thermal, vibration, etc.). Strong leadership skills with experience managing and grooming engineering teams. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
