Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled SQL Database Administrator with strong experience in Microsoft Azure to manage, maintain, and optimize our cloud-based database systems. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, performance, and security of databases while supporting development and operations teams. Key Responsibilities: Database Design & Implementation: Design, implement, and maintain Azure SQL databases. Plan and execute database migrations to Azure. Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor database performance using Azure Monitor and Query Performance Insight. Optimize SQL queries and indexing strategies. Security & Compliance: Implement encryption, firewall rules, and role-based access control (RBAC). Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). Backup & Disaster Recovery: Configure automated backups and geo-replication. Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans. Troubleshooting & Support: Resolve database-related issues and minimize downtime. Provide technical support for database environments and upgrades. Automation & Scripting: Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other tools. Schedule and manage database maintenance jobs. Required Skills: Strong proficiency in SQL Server and Azure SQL Database . Experience with Azure tools like Azure Monitor, Azure Automation, and Azure Security Center. Knowledge of PowerShell , T-SQL , and Azure CLI . Familiarity with data governance , compliance , and security best practices . Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
