They monitor system performance, perform preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise. Key Responsibilities : System Operation: Monitoring and operating ammonia refrigeration systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and other components. Preventative Maintenance: Performing routine inspections, maintenance tasks, and repairs to ensure the system operates safely and efficiently. Troubleshooting and Repair: Identifying and resolving issues with the refrigeration system, including leaks, malfunctions, and low performance. Safety: Following all safety protocols and procedures related to ammonia handling, including lockout/tagout procedures and confined space entry. Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of system performance, maintenance tasks, and any issues encountered. Collaboration: Working with other technicians, supervisors, and maintenance staff to ensure the smooth operation of the refrigeration system. Process Safety Management (PSM): Adhering to PSM guidelines and regulations to ensure the safety of the facility and personnel. Equipment and Instrumentation: Operating and maintaining various refrigeration and utility equipment, including boilers, air compressors, and water treatment systems. Skills and Qualifications :- Technical Skills: Understanding of refrigeration principles, ammonia refrigeration systems, and related equipment. Mechanical Skills: Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain refrigeration equipment.
