Position Overview: The General Manager Operations will provide strategic leadership, oversight and coordination for Aquaaworlds operational functions, including delivery management, vendor management, client relationship management and internal process optimization. This pivotal role ensures operational excellence, streamlined project delivery, exceptional client service and effective vendor relationships across all service areas, including swimming pools, water bodies, landscaping, wellness facilities, external beautification and related turnkey projects. Key Responsibilities: Preferably from Landscaping / swimming irrigation works and Horticulture knowledge is an added advantage. Operational Leadership: Provide strategic direction to optimize the delivery and operational processes, aligning with company goals. Oversee end-to-end operations for swimming pool projects, landscaping solutions, wellness setups and external beautification services. Monitor and continuously improve operational efficiency, quality assurance processes and project timelines. Project Delivery Management: Ensure timely, within-budget completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards. Supervise project planning, resource allocation, execution strategies and delivery timelines. Implement robust project tracking and reporting mechanisms. Vendor Management: Develop and manage relationships with key vendors, suppliers and contractors. Negotiate contracts, manage procurement processes and ensure vendor compliance and quality standards. Regularly evaluate vendor performance and ensure continuous improvement in cost, quality and delivery timelines. Client Management: Maintain high levels of client satisfaction through effective communication, timely service delivery and consistent quality. Act as a senior point of contact for critical clients, addressing concerns proactively. Oversee client onboarding processes and ensure smooth handover from sales to operations. Team Leadership: Lead, motivate and manage the operations team, ensuring alignment with company culture and performance objectives. Implement performance management systems, provide regular feedback, coaching and development opportunities. Drive internal training and skill enhancement programs for operational excellence. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, environmental standards and industry best practices. Oversee operational risk management, including crisis management, contingency planning and quality assurance. Reporting and Analytics: Maintain comprehensive operational reports and dashboards, providing strategic insights and recommendations to senior management. Use analytics to predict project timelines, resource requirements and potential operational issues. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Business Management, Operations Management, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of progressive operational management experience in project-based environments, preferably in landscaping, swimming pools, wellness, construction, or external beautification sectors. Proven experience in managing complex operations involving multiple vendors and client interactions. Demonstrated track record of implementing operational improvements and delivering projects on time and within budget. Required Skills: Exceptional leadership, interpersonal and communication skills. Strong negotiation and vendor relationship management abilities. Project management expertise, including budgeting, resource allocation and timeline management. Proficiency in operational analytics, reporting tools and software (CRM, ERP systems, Project Management Tools). High level of integrity, accountability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
