As the leader of the Instrumentation Center of Excellence (CoE) for SCIL, your primary responsibility is to oversee the efficient operations of the department, ensuring high equipment uptime and readiness in a cost-effective manner. Your duties include setting strategic goals and plans for the Instrumentation CoE in alignment with overall engineering objectives. You will work closely with the Engineering & Projects Head to develop and review the department's budget. Additionally, your role involves participating in strategic planning exercises and providing insights for critical projects and technology upgrades from an instrumentation perspective. You will be responsible for devising maintenance schedules for preventive and breakdown maintenance across manufacturing locations. Monitoring Annual Maintenance Contracts, leading Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for chronic issues, and ensuring timely resolution of equipment faults are crucial aspects of your role. Moreover, you will collaborate with the Indirect Purchase Manager to maintain optimal inventory levels for seamless operations. Supporting engineering projects by offering instrumentation expertise, identifying requirements, and developing cost-effective solutions will be part of your responsibilities. You will also focus on enhancing equipment performance, reducing production losses, and driving continuous improvements in processes to minimize maintenance costs. People management is a key aspect of your role, involving effective team leadership, capability development, and employee engagement to meet function objectives. Monitoring team performance, identifying training needs, and arranging internal and external training sessions are essential for the team's growth. Ensuring workplace safety, adherence to IMS standards, compliance with ISO requirements, and contributing to ESG initiatives for environmental compliance and resource efficiency are integral parts of your responsibilities.
