As a Project Buyer at WhiteWater West, you play a crucial role in the Supply Chain team based in Mumbai, India. Your primary responsibility will be to purchase goods and services to support global projects, ensuring they are acquired at the best value, on time, and meeting quality specifications. Being bilingual in Mandarin and English is a prerequisite for this role. Your key responsibilities include placing purchase orders with approved suppliers, supporting best practices in sourcing and purchasing, purchasing components and services to meet customer expectations, evaluating suppliers based on Total Cost of Ownership, developing cost-saving initiatives, monitoring order progress, resolving discrepancies, improving costs and inventory control, and implementing purchasing strategies and systems. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or possess equivalent knowledge/experience in Purchasing. Previous ERP experience is required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. Strong communication and negotiating skills, both verbal and written, are essential. Additionally, willingness to travel internationally (Canada) up to 5% is expected. Familiarity with import/export processes and a technical or logistics background are advantageous.
