Finalization of contracts with Clearing Agencies, Scrap Vendors, Transporters, etc. after approval. Proper tracking of the supplies made against each Contract & maintaining of contract files. Ensure all agreed purchasing objectives are delivered on time in target through close cooperation and teamwork within the company. Ensure the compliance of MRP system, ISO, PS and HSE purchasing portion. Planning for purchasing raw material, issuing purchase orders and following up. Maintaining a proper filing system for suppliers, orders and related documents. Secure the updating of raw material price and supplier information in computer. Cooperate with Accounts Department - for payment to suppliers and costing of raw material received. Keep track of with-holding tax return forms of suppliers. Support regional purchasing as well as corporate purchasing. Follow up and evaluate non raw material purchasing Minimize business risk through strict supplier management system and well compliance of all company management processes. Technical support/market information from suppliers to other departments. Advise on indirect taxation related to capital equipment purchases. Complete knowledge of export-import shipment process (Air, rail, Ocean Primary Responsibilities: • Responsible for complete export shipment planning process as per incoterms and customer orders – right from cargo readiness to shipment and b/l release - from multiple loading ports in India • Achieving Monthly export dispatch targets – from multiple manufacturing plants in India • Follow up - with shipping companies and forwarding agents for bookings • Follow up - with forwarding agent and CHA's for timely gate in the port and advance loading list send to shipping co. • Responsible for timely updation of shipment status in SAP. • Coordination with Customer service teams for shipment updation to customers • Coordination with planners, dispatch teams, QC teams at plants. • Coordination with CHAs, transporters, freight forwarders, shipping lines, third party inspection agencies. • Resolution of issues related to shipments with customs, shipping lines, CFS, other allied agencies. • Responsible for MIS reporting. • Ensure export/import laws and regulations in the importing ports at respective destination countries are adhered to. • Responsible for KPIs related to timely delivery and shipment costs. • Provide advance container volume forecast to shipping lines, CHAS, Transporters Involvement in Global Logistics for respective region like - NAM, EU, APAC, LATAM etc. Would be also responsible for Pre-shipment & post- Shipment whenever required.
