Position Overview: The International Purchasing Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing global procurement of raw materials, speciality chemicals, solvents, and intermediates from international suppliers. The role requires strong expertise in vendor development, international sourcing, cost negotiations, import compliance, and supply chain optimisation to ensure the timely and cost-effective availability of materials. Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Procurement & Sourcing Develop and implement international procurement strategies for speciality and bulk chemicals. Identify, evaluate, and onboard across global suppliers. Negotiate long-term contracts, payment terms, and supply agreements with overseas vendors. 2. Import Operations & Documentation Oversee end-to-end import cycle from vendor approach to material shipment. Ensure proper documentation, including LC, BL, COO, MSDS, REACH/GHS certifications, and DGFT compliance . Coordinate with the Logistics department on shipments. 3. Compliance & Regulatory Management Stay updated with international chemical import regulations (DGFT, REACH, CLP, GHS, and hazardous goods transport norms) . Ensure all imports meet statutory requirements and safety standards. Maintain accurate documentation for audits and government inspections. 4. Vendor & Market Management Build and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers. Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations based on quality, reliability, and pricing. Monitor global chemical market trends, price fluctuations, currency risks, and regulatory changes. 5. Cost & Risk Management Analyse landed costs and optimise procurement budgets. Develop risk mitigation strategies for currency volatility, supply chain disruptions, and trade barriers. Work on cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality and compliance. 6. Cross-Functional Coordination Work closely with Production, QC/QA, Finance, and Warehouse teams for seamless material planning. Provide timely updates to stakeholders regarding shipment schedules and delays. 7. Reporting & Analysis Prepare MIS reports, cost analysis, and procurement dashboards for management review. Develop KPIs for monitoring supplier performance, import lead time, and cost savings.

Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Management: Lead a dedicated team in the India region, fostering a culture of compliance and continuous improvement. Collaborate with global counterparts to ensure alignment and consistency in compliance practices. Regulatory Compliance Oversight: Establish and maintain robust compliance frameworks for import, export, and export control across all TD SYNNEX companies in the India region. Represent regulatory compliance matters in India Senior Management and Legal forums. Import Compliance: Oversee import compliance in India, coordinating closely with the Global Director of Import Compliance coordinating on policy, procedures. Develop and implement duty deferral and mitigation programs to minimize tariff on COGs. Export Licensing: Support the Sr. Director of Global Export Licensing to ensure all transactions comply with U.S. re-export and country-specific export licensing requirements. Lead the deployment of the E2 Open Export Licensing Module in India by 2026. Greater China & HK Compliance: Manages Regulatory Compliance for greater China and HK. Ensures TD SYNNEX activities in greater China are compliant with U.S. regulations including the U.S. Treasury investment rule (August 2024), the U.S. Department of Justice Bulk Information Rule (December 2024) and other ensuing regulatory restrictions as codified toward China and HK. Environmental Compliance: Supports Director of Environmental Product Compliance, i.e., packaging, WEEE etc., for INDIA. Teams with our India business partners to manage environmental fee payments and recovery (customers) as required by country regulatory requirements. Continuous Improvement: Direct self-assessments to ensure the accuracy of import valuations, classifications, and other regulatory requirements. Develop remediation plans to address any findings. Skills and Experience Qualifications: A 4-year university degree is required an advanced degree is preferred. Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in regulatory compliance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience in the high-tech industry and India Customs Compliance is essential. Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge of import-export regulations and compliance laws. Proven ability to work collaboratively with regulators and business partners. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, with a track record of making impactful decisions and driving change. Manage bank payments, import/forex transactions, BOE compliance, LC/BG processes, and financial docs; coordinate with banks to ensure timely, smooth, and efficient financial operations.

Role & responsibilities Prepare and manage shipping documentation (Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, COO, etc.). Ensure timely filing of Bill of Entry (BOE), Shipping Bills, and other customs formalities. Coordinate with CHA, freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs authorities, and overseas customers with reference to commercial transactions Prepare and manage Banking documents for Import Payment, LC Compliance for export, and Import Maintain records of goods dispatched and received, duty payments, and shipment status. Respond to queries and provide timely support on customs or freight forwarding-related issues. Prepare MIS reports on shipments, duty drawbacks, logistics costs, and lead times. Basic Knowledge of INCOTERMS, HS codes, customs processes, and export-import regulations. Proficiency in MS Office and SAP ERP systems.
