Job Description

As a member of the Professional Services/Business Analyst team at FIS, you will have the opportunity to work closely with clients, system development engineers, and business unit members. Your primary responsibility will involve working on various tasks such as understanding and analyzing client requirements, documenting business systems requirements, configuring the Compass application based on client needs, and documenting client requirements in specified business specifications. You will collaborate with internal and client teams, project managers, and the Design Team to ensure that clients" requirements are accurately reflected in logical specifications. Additionally, you will participate in design sessions for the development of new functionality and customization of existing features. Your role will also involve assisting in the development of test plans, resolving production issues, and providing input during design sessions as necessary. To excel in this role, you should have strong business analysis knowledge in the Life insurance industry, familiarity with relational databases and technical skills like SQL, Oracle, UNIX, and Excel Macros. Experience with Insurance Policy Administration Systems and certifications such as LOMA (ALMI or FLMI), Insurance Institute of India - Licentiate, Associate, and Fellowship would be advantageous. You must possess excellent communication and analytical skills, proficiency in requirement gathering and documentation, and knowledge of SDLC and requirement gathering techniques. The ability to work as part of a team, set correct level expectations, and deliver on those expectations is essential. Being a self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving, effective interpersonal skills, and the capacity to work with external clients are key competencies required for this position. With a Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems and 8 to 12 years of experience as a business analyst in the financial services industry, you will be well-equipped to handle the responsibilities of this role. Fluency in English, attention to detail, an organized approach, and a willingness to occasionally travel are additional qualifications that are valued for this position.
