Illustrator / Character Designer

As an Illustrator/Character Designer for a freelance or project-based opportunity with a remote Gen Z + Wellness Brand, you will play a crucial role in designing playful and expressive illustrations that align with the brand's bold, feminine, and community-driven ethos. Your tasks will involve creating visuals that can be seamlessly integrated across various platforms, from social media to product packaging. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing a unique visual identity element that resonates with our Gen Z audience while collaborating closely with the core brand and marketing team for creative alignment. Key Responsibilities: - Designing playful and expressive illustrations that reflect the brand's youthful, feel-good aesthetic - Crafting visuals suitable for digital and physical platforms, ensuring consistency and appeal across different mediums - Developing a unique visual identity element that establishes an emotional connection with the Gen Z audience - Collaborating with the core brand and marketing team to ensure creative alignment and consistency Qualifications Required: - Possess a portfolio showcasing soft, stylish, or character-driven illustrations - Prior experience working with Gen Z, feminine, or lifestyle brands - Proficiency in tools such as Procreate, Adobe Illustrator, or Clip Studio Paint - Enjoy creating lively, emotionally compelling, and relatable designs - Experience in wellness, self-care, or personal care brand projects preferred - Ability to illustrate cozy, plushy, or emotive characters is a plus - Familiarity with translating illustrations into packaging, merchandise, or social media assets is advantageous In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a team dedicated to building a culture-first, emotion-led brand.
