Role & responsibilities 1. Accounting & Bookkeeping Maintain books of accounts in Tally / Zoho Books as applicable Journal entries, ledger scrutiny, and month-end closing Preparation of debtorcreditor statements Bank reconciliation and vendor reconciliation Assist in preparation of financial statements 2. GST Compliance Preparation and filing of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and other periodic returns Reconciliation of GSTR-2A/2B with books Coordination for GST registration, amendments, and notices Working knowledge of Input Tax Credit rules 3. TDS & Income Tax Compliance Preparation and filing of quarterly TDS returns Computation of TDS liability and challan preparation Basic assistance in preparation of Income Tax Returns Maintaining TDS registers and reconciliation 4. Documentation & Reporting Preparing MIS reports as required Maintaining client files, documentation, and working papers Drafting emails, letters, and basic compliance notes 5. Client Coordination Communicating with clients to collect data and documents Providing timely updates on filings and compliance Ensuring smooth follow-up and closing of assigned tasks Preferred candidate profile 1. Work Experience 13 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in a Chartered Accountancy firm Experience in GST returns, TDS filings, and reconciliations Exposure to finalisation support and statutory compliance is an added advantage 2. Technical Skills Strong command over Tally ERP9 / Tally Prime , MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Filters) Working knowledge of GST (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, 2A/2B Reconciliation) Understanding of TDS provisions and quarterly TDS returns Familiarity with accounting standards and ledger scrutiny 3. Behavioural Competencies High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong sense of responsibility and ownership of work Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle data sensitively Good communication skills (email drafting, client coordination) Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Professional attitude and willingness to learn 4. Educational Background B.Com / M.Com / Inter CA preferred Additional certificate courses in accounting, GST, or taxation will be advantageous 5. Personal Attributes Disciplined, punctual, and reliable Problem-solving mindset Positive attitude and readiness to work in a dynamic CA office environment Comfortable working in an office-based role 6.
