As an Ignition Solution Architect with 10 to 15 years of experience, your primary responsibility will be to create detailed plans for implementing Ignition within facilities, ensuring scalability, security, and performance considerations. You will be tasked with selecting the appropriate Ignition modules and third-party integrations to fulfill project requirements effectively. Your role will involve establishing seamless communication between Ignition and various systems like PLCs, databases, and devices using protocols such as OPC UA, MQTT, and Modbus. Designing solutions that adhere to cybersecurity standards and protect against potential threats will be a critical aspect of your job. In addition to these responsibilities, you will provide technical guidance to development teams and clients, offering best practices for utilizing Ignition and troubleshooting any issues that may arise. Creating detailed technical specifications, architectural blueprints, and documentation to support solution implementation and maintenance will also be part of your duties. To excel in this role, you should have a minimum of 8 years of experience with SCADA/HMI systems, including at least 5 years working specifically with Ignition by Inductive Automation. Hands-on experience in industrial automation, particularly in industries like automotive and manufacturing, will be beneficial. Your expertise should extend to configuring and implementing Ignition SCADA, HMI, and MES modules for real-time monitoring and control of manufacturing processes. Proficiency in integrating Ignition with PLCs, ERP systems, MES, and other automation systems for seamless data exchange and process control is essential. You should be adept at developing custom scripts using Python and other scripting tools within Ignition to automate processes and enhance system functionality. Creating custom dashboards and user interfaces using Ignition Vision or Perspective modules to visualize key performance indicators, process data, and operational trends will be part of your daily tasks. Monitoring and optimizing the performance of Ignition systems to ensure efficient operation and scalability will also fall under your purview. Preferred skills for this role include a deep understanding of Ignition's features, modules, and capabilities, experience with SCADA, MES, and IIoT concepts, knowledge of industrial protocols like OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, and Ethernet/IP, proficiency in database management (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle), scripting skills in Python and potentially Java, and excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients, developers, and stakeholders.,
