JOB OVERVIEW Responsibilities: Ø Dispatch Coordination: · Oversee the preparation and dispatch of goods from the warehouse or supplier to the first mile (initial transportation). · Ensure proper documentation (invoices, shipping labels, packing lists, etc.) is prepared for each shipment. · Coordinate with suppliers, warehouses, and transporters to ensure timely dispatch. Ø Transportation Management (Last Mile): · Manage and optimize the first mile (pickup from the hub) and last mile (final delivery to customers). · Collaborate with third-party vendors, transporters, and drivers to ensure the safe, on-time delivery of goods. · Identify cost-effective and reliable transport routes, ensuring timely and safe delivery. Ø Tracking & Monitoring: · Track shipments in real-time, providing updates to customers or internal teams as required. · Use logistics software or systems to monitor deliveries, ensuring on-time and accurate shipments. · Address and resolve any delivery delays, rerouting issues, or logistical challenges that arise. Ø Customer Service: · Act as the point of contact for customers regarding delivery inquiries, issues, or special requests. · Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through timely and accurate deliveries. · Handle customer complaints related to deliveries, finding solutions in a professional and efficient manner.
