The role at BT is crucial as the company operates in a regulated environment and deals with products that necessitate assurance. As part of the Risk and Compliance team, your responsibility will be to establish an IT Controls framework tailored for Digital, ensuring it aligns with current requirements and is adaptable for future growth areas. Digital's risk obligations encompass Data GDPR, Financial statement, and Cyber risk, highlighting the significance of having a robust framework in place. Failure to comply with these risks can lead to legal repercussions, fines, damage to reputation, and shareholder implications for BT. Your main tasks will include supporting Senior managers in the Risk and Compliance team, collaborating with a small group of ICOFR controls and assurance specialists. You will be responsible for providing accurate and timely reporting on controls test status, conducting tests on specific controls, assisting in the control matrix and remediation plans, and facilitating the onboarding of new applications into the controls environment. Additionally, you will be involved in stakeholder management across the 3 Lines of Defence, contributing to horizon scanning for emerging risks, and maintaining a health dashboard for applications and ICOFR Controls. The ideal candidate should be ambitious, well-organized, and keen on advancing in the realm of Digital's Risk and Compliance journey. While expertise in IT controls is not mandatory, a willingness to learn is essential. You should possess the ability to collaborate with business sponsors and IT technical teams to drive intricate IT controls and exhibit a track record of achieving results in matrixed teams. Familiarity with risk management, BT Enterprise Risk Management practices, ICOFR controls, compliance controls, and frameworks is advantageous. Proficiency in IT tools such as Excel and Access is required to develop, present, and update IT health status dashboards. Desirable skills include certifications like CISA, CISSP, or similar, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, experience in S-OX controls environment, knowledge of audit methodologies, familiarity with IT frameworks and methodologies like COSO, ITIL, and COBIT, project management skills, and experience with SAP.
