Product definition engineer is responsible for product definition of gas turbine components using NX, Teamcenter and SAP. The engineer should be able to understand the functional, assembly and manufacturing requirements and come up with innovative & appropriate solutions to meet the design requirements. Need to work within the team and with cross functional teams. Job requires creating 3D models & detailing and drawing checking. Very good knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, creation of bill of materials are essential. Job also requires regular interaction with global teams outside India. Hence, engineer should have strong communication skills and cross-cultural knowledge. Your new role- challenging and future- oriented Understand the product structure, design requirements and design principles Design and detailing of Gas Turbine stationary & rotating components. Creation of 3D CAD models & drawings for Gas turbine components & assemblies Create new product designs and product assemblies Documentation of design data and product definition Work with project lead to understand the requirements, provide engineering data, timelines and deliver related design activities within agreed timeline. We dont need superheroes, just super minds Bachelors or masters degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent from recognized university More than 6 years of experience in Turbomachinery Design engineering & Product definition Experience in utilizing mechanical engineering skills to analyze technical requirements and applying appropriate skill set to design and detailing complex components and assemblies using NX (Unigraphics). Mechanical-design fundamentals & problem-solving skills Ability to perform engineering calculations Apply GD&T per BS 8888 or ASME Y-14.5M Gas Turbine Component and System Design Experience or any turbomachinery design experience Very good interpersonal and communication skills to work with cross functional team and with different cultural background Flexibility to work with different time zones. Experience: 6+ years / 8+ years Major Purpose: Performs engine related CFD analysis work for a defined portion of a project. Operates in a team environment, providing input to design solutions and participating in design/analysis reviews. Develops recommendations within established guidelines; demonstrates accountability in delivering first time right. Position Specific Duties: Perform Engine CFD analysis to support the design of John Deere Power Systems products using various analysis and simulation software. Demonstrate ownership and accountability mindset Obtain correlation with field/experimental data Compile analysis results into a form that can be easily interpreted by all stakeholders Perform hand calculations to verify the accuracy wherever applicable Propose feasible optimized design solutions to meet product requirements Schedule and lead analysis reviews to share results with design & PV&V engineers. During these meetings, offer what insight they can provide in order to help solve problems. Produce and/or evaluate possible design solutions to improve cost, quality, and performance-based on specialized knowledge of engineering applications. This may include the possible involvement of other functional engineers. Propose feasible optimized design solutions to meet acceptance criteria and to improve cost, weight targets. Responsible for timelines of the projects executed individually and with the help of team members. Required: Prior experience with CFD modeling tools: AVL, Star-CCM+, Ansys Experience in engine auxiliaries CHT and multiphase analysis Excellent simulation based design recommendations abilities Knowledge in engine technology and engineering principles Excellent Collaboration and Communication skills - Conduct simulation-based design explorations and communicate recommendations for new product introduction programs as well as current product improvement programs - Knowledge in engineering principles, theory, and practice as well as basic product knowledge

Role & responsibilities Interact with Design and product engineer to understand the design and performance requirements. Conduct CFD analysis by using right modeling techniques and making right assumptions. Use commercial tools such as Ansys CFX or Fluent as needed. Technical expertise in analytical modeling of CFD/Heat transfer fundamentals. Understand thermal or flow performance, interpret results intelligently and develop design improvements. Writing reports for summarizing the analysis results. Working closely with CFD Group Leader, giving updates of regular projects/activities follow Directions Work in a team of design engineers, test engineers and calculation engineers for various product areas. Coordinating and chairing necessary job/task clarification meetings Handing over CFD calculation tasks from local development team to calculation team in Neuss,Germany or to local customers . Should have an exposure to correlation of simulation results with test results in the respective areas of CFD/FEA. Preferred candidate profile CFD Softwares (Ansys CFX, Fluent,ICEMCFD, Ansys meshing) , CAD Software Catia V5 or any other Cad software Computer basics, Engineering skills, project execution, planning, communication, Analysis skills, Innovation, creativity.
