Job Description

As a Senior I&C Designer at Arcadis, you will play a crucial role in designing layouts for Control systems for Building Automation Systems (BAS), Manufacturing Automation Systems (MAS), including HVAC, Electrical, Manufacturing Tools, Water Treatment, Chemical Treatment, and Life Safety. Your advanced knowledge of I&C equipment and local building codes will enable you to contribute independently to complex aspects of projects. Your key responsibilities will include: - Assuring that drawings and designs comply with company production and design standards. - Developing panel layouts, control schematics, loops, and wiring drawings. - Providing Process and Instrumentations Drawings with the assistance of I&C, Process & Mechanical Engineering. - Conducting design calculations such as power supply sizing and cable sizing. - Developing typical I&C Installation Details. - Providing drawings for your own designs and incorporating sketches into drawings. - Writing scope of work for I&C design based on preliminary review and client meetings. - Inspecting I&C components before, during, and after installation. - Keeping company drawings, templates, and standards current with applicable local codes. - Training and mentoring I&C Designer I and II on various design approaches and methods. - Acting as a liaison between the I&C department and other departments and disciplines. - Interacting with and presenting to contractors and clients. - Representing the department and providing updates on I&C work in company/project meetings. To be successful in this role, you should have: - Associate degree and/or post high school training in Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CAD) and 3+ years of experience.
