The Product Engineering Technician role at onsemi offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge semiconductor devices that cater to diverse applications in the Automotive and Industrial sectors. As a member of the AMG Product Engineering (PE) team, you will support Product and Test Engineering teams in various activities related to IC products, such as sample testing, characterization, and qualification. Your primary focus will involve working with the ATE Test Cell, including ATE Tester platforms, handlers, and probers. Additionally, you may also be involved in bench work for data collection and characterization tasks. Your responsibilities will include providing support to Product/Test engineers for ATE test cell setups, conducting sample testing, IC characterization, and qualification samples on ATE, data collection, and handling customer return re-screening and testing on both ATE and bench setups. You will be expected to possess the skills to debug, diagnose, and repair failing ATE boards, sockets, and components. Furthermore, you should be capable of performing setup conversions, repairs, maintenance, and calibration of ATE Test Cell equipment such as Handlers, Probers, and Testers. Additional skills in areas such as soldering/de-soldering, embedding/de-embedding on boards, operating bench equipment, and building mechanical benches sporadically are highly advantageous. Moreover, you will be responsible for procuring ATE sustaining spare parts and supporting hardware transfer to manufacturing. Qualifications: - High School Diploma or Associate Degree with more than 5 years of experience working with ATE Test Cell equipment. - Prior experience in semiconductor IC test labs with proficiency in operating lab equipment. - Strong hardware repair, soldering, and de-soldering skills. - Willingness to work multiple shifts, including 2nd or 3rd shifts as required. - Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
