We are looking for a skilled System / Middleware Administrator with 5 years of experience in managing middleware platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in administering Linux/Windows servers along with middleware tools such as IBM App Connect, IBM API Connect, IBM WebSphere and IBM MQ. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure and maintain middleware platforms such as IBM App Connect, IBM API Connect, IBM WebSphere and IBM MQ. Manage OS-level tasks for Linux/Unix/Windows servers including updates, monitoring and troubleshooting. Provide operational support for deployment, configuration and maintenance of enterprise applications. Monitor system and middleware performance and perform root cause analysis for issues. Work closely with customers, developers and support teams for environment setup and issue resolution. Handle backup, restore, patching and security hardening tasks. Maintain documentation of systems, middleware configurations and support procedures. Ensure compliance with IT security policies and audit requirements. Participate in on-call support and respond to incidents and outages. Good understanding of networking, firewalls, SSL, DNS and load balancing. Key Responsibilities 1. Infrastructure Management Maintain and administer Linux and AIX environments to ensure high availability, security, and optimal performance across the infrastructure. 2. Database Administration Install, configure, manage, and troubleshoot DB2 or Oracle databases. Handle routine maintenance tasks such as performance optimization, backup, and recovery procedures. 3. Application Server Support Support and maintain application servers such as WebSphere Application Server (WAS) or JBoss. Ensure uptime, scalability, and performance through proactive monitoring and configuration management. 4. Performance Optimization Analyze and resolve performance issues across systems, databases, and application servers to ensure seamless operations and optimal resource utilization. 5. Security & Compliance Implement and enforce security best practices. Manage system patches and updates while ensuring adherence to organizational and industry compliance standards. 6. Monitoring & Incident Management Deploy and manage monitoring tools to proactively detect and resolve system issues. Respond promptly to incidents and take corrective actions to minimize downtime. 7. Documentation Develop and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for systems, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), architecture diagrams, and configuration details. 8. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with developers, network engineers, and IT support teams to coordinate deployments, resolve issues, and support integrated systems operations. 9. Project Participation Contribute to infrastructure and systems projects by offering technical expertise, assisting with planning, executing tasks, and supporting post-implementation efforts. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience. Demonstrated experience managing Linux and AIX environments. Proficiency in administering either DB2 or Oracle databases. Hands-on experience with WebSphere Application Server (WAS), JBoss, or similar application servers. Solid understanding of networking, storage systems, and virtualization technologies. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
