About The Role We are looking for motivated and detail-oriented Naval Architecture graduates to join our team as Trainee Naval Architects. This position is ideal for freshers or individuals with up to 1 year of experience who are keen to develop their careers in the design and development of innovative, sustainable marine vessels. As a trainee, you will be involved in the end-to-end ship design process and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to bring clean marine technologies to life. What You’ll Be Doing? An overview of your core tasks and daily activities in this role: Assist in the creation of vessel designs including hull form development, structural layout, and hydrostatics. Support the evaluation of vessel performance using hydrostatic and hydrodynamic calculations. Participate in research and preliminary studies to determine technical feasibility and design optimization. Create and modify vessel drawings using CAD tools under the guidance of senior naval architects. Understand and apply classification society rules and regulatory standards in design practices. Prepare and maintain design documents, technical reports, and drawing packages. Work collaboratively with mechanical, electrical, and production teams to ensure integrated vessel development. Your Role and Responsibilities will be: Liaise with client and /or class for basic design of ships and boats marine vessels. Prepare preliminary GA and technical specifications. Should be able to do Naval Architecture calculations covering weight, stability, scantling, resistance & powering, propulsion, tonnage, hydrostatics etc. Should be able to do Class approval plans and liaise with class for all projects. Knowledge of class rules, IMO, and flag state authority regulations (SOLAS, Lloyd's, DNV, ABS, IRS etc.). Should have good skills in Hull surface modelling and fairing. Knowledge of any Naval Architectural software like MAXSURF or DELFT ship or NAPA or GHS is a must. Should have sound knowledge in ship design with the capability to solve any design related problems. Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Naval Architect to join our team in Kochi. As a Naval Architect, you will play a pivotal role in performing hydrostatic calculations, Load-Out/Load-in Ballast plan, conducting stability analyses and supporting vessel concept design projects.
